As the rock lay dormant, mankind's population was quickly flourishing across the Earth. And naturally, it was inevitable before the Creator's master species would come face to face with Confarrius', with results that would forever alter man's destiny. A small tribe came upon the piece, millions of years after it's first contact with the Earth. The stone piece gave off a mystical, radiant glow. Thinking it a gift from the unseen forces above (though not knowing exactly how right they were) they began to worship the statue. they drew elaborate marks upon it, and carved it into a graven image, in the form of a small idol, with a mysterious eye resting atop the piece, gazing down upon them all. Fully conscious, the newly-formed idol watched as these creatures below adorned it with gifts, sacrificed, and believed fully in it.

During one of the ceremonies, a young girl was placed upon a stone altar as a sacrifice. Her tiny body trembled with a mixture of wonder, and dread. The first of these two emotions sparked little curiosity within the piece, but the direct certainty of the second pulled it in like a moth into a flame. The idol learned something that day, as her virgin blood was spilled, and splattered onto it's base. It learned that fear, man's most primal emotion, was the most delectable energy source it could ever derive. For the first time, the idol knew pleasure, it knew satisfaction, it knew want. It developed a deep craving for man's emotions, fear being the most delectable one. So it feasted for many years upon man's fear, until it grew bored. Even the most savory of feasts grows old after many millenia. So the idol had to up the ante. It borrowed from it's own vast power, and imbued within these mortals, a mere trifle of it's power, a tiny taste, one nibble upon the fruits of Divinity, and with it, eternal life. These men were blessed with the strength of a god, and immortality. But the idol cared for neither. All it cared for was their fear. The emotions of a "super" man outshadowed that of a mortal so, that the idol found man's emotions far too simple and trite to ever go back upon, much like a dog going back on it's own vomit. So it continued blessing any who came within a few feet of the piece with this great strenght, and it feasted upon their emotions, and it was content.

Then, the Creator saw how this unforeseen event had altered His creations so, and He was upset. He sent His Angels down to the idol to demand that it discontinue it's perversion of His dreams for mankind. Though the idol was born of a fallen angel it shared not, any further bond with it. It truly was not "it's brother's keeper". It was neither good, nor evil, but an entity which rested on the middle line, any faltering liable to send it hurling in one direction or the other. There was no feasible way the idol could be banished from the Earth. Nor could the idol remain content feasting upon the emotions of mortals. So the Creator struck up a bargain with the idol, Divinely dubbed Domatria Carpathi, or "Son of the Meteor". The deal was that the idol could imbue within mankind it's Heavenly gift, but there was a clause. Mankind could not just inherit this gift freely, but he had to overcome his deepest darkest fear, and thereby he would gain dominion over it. Nor could man have any previous knowledge of this idol's power, or potential thereof. As the saying went, Ignorance truly was "Bliss". And that is where the idol resides, to this very day, blessing mortals with it's gift of power beyond comprehension. So know this, you who have read these words. You've cast away YOUR own chance for Divinity. I sincerely hope your curiosity has been satiated. And this is my gift to thee. Do enjoy, won't you?
